I like to eat organic whenever I can. I don’t mind spending the extra money because I feel like, in the long run, I’ll have fewer doctor’s bills to deal with, which are far more expensive than organic food. However, when it comes to meat, I prefer to provide my own. No feedlots, antibiotics, or growth hormones. Besides, the meat is much leaner than beef that has been fattened up on corn before heading to the butcher. Wild elk or deer are my preference . . . so, yes, I hunt from time to time. My idea for a replaceable blade knife originally came to me as I was cleaning an elk at night. My knife repeatedly got dull! I would have to stop, get out the sharpening stone and steel, and try to—in the dark, with a flashlight in my mouth—re-sharpen my knife. If I just could have replaced the blade and inserted a new razor sharp one. Wow! From that initial idea, my thinking and focus have shifted to the home market where I believe there is an even greater felt need for a knife that you’d never have to sharpen. The convenience for the busy, time-strapped person of just quickly snapping in a new factory-sharp blade versus stopping to sharpen a knife is a very attractive to me, and I imagine to you as well!
